No, the egg (in future NFT updates) will hatch to reveal the animal within.
You should think about the illustration as several layers. Front to back: foreground, egg, landscape, sky.
The winner of this illustration will be offered the job of creating all elements for an egg-based NFT project. Multiple attributes are needed for each layer. Random layer attributes will be combined to make 1000s of NFTs.
