The young blonde girl is the protagonist. She bonds with the grandmother in the mobility scooter who suffers with dementia. The grandmother in the mobility

The young blonde girl chloe is forced to become a stay at home teenager overnight when her Grandmother gets diagnosed with alzheimers and she must look after her during her summer school holidays. Its a coming of age film about chloe growing up, and how her grandmother's illness allows her to grow up and understand and address her own mental health issues, depression. She falls in love with the boy with the curly hair, Sam. Her mother Eileen also suffers with depression, and they bash heads a lot which Eileen puts to her being 'a moody teenager', when actually she's developing the first signs of depression.

The film has a light tone. Elements of dark comedy.
