Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We are an Engineering & General Contracting company. "Simple yet effective" would be my inspiration for this logo (don't include that wording into the logo please). Engineering & construction isn't flashy, it's efficient, and that's how I would like the logo to represent. Preferably not flashy or vibrant colors. It could be as simple as a font, some color, a line, etc. Or it could be as over the top as you feel necessary, as long as it follows the motto.

Also please don't associate us with something that might represent mechanical engineering. Everyone's first thought is to throw a cog or a wrench in there or something, but our design revolves around land development, commercial & residential (subdivisions, commercial buildings, gas stations, RV parks, basically anything development). I don't mind abstract images, or thing that may suggest something but not actually being so. As an example, but not something I would want: faint rooftop lines that you would assume is depicting rooftops, but not having an actual outlining of a house. Avoiding images or outlines of actual objects altogether is probably the best bet.
