Hello - I’ll give a little background to hopefully help communicate the intent and thought behind this project. I’m looking for a logo (and brand) as a gift to my brother and his family.
They have brought a piece of property where they’re building a house and will have a pond and potentially some livestock. This is a dream project for them and will be their forever home. They want their boys to grow up there fishing the pond with the memories of their land and something to pass down.
The property is located near a lake called “Bodcau”, near the dam. It’s located in north Louisiana. Their last name is Bailey - which is where the name “Dam Bailey Ranch” was born. They want a logo to use on their business paperwork, signage, etc. they also want a brand/monogram (essentially the initials - DBR) that corresponds to the logo or at least matches the vibe.
The theme is - Louisiana/farm/ranch.
Ideas he gave - Louisiana, Cypress tree, pine tree, Fleur de Lis
More Louisiana than Texas (usually ranches are associate with Texas)
If you’re not familiar with the area you can look up Caddo lake which is a popular lake in the area. That’s the vibe of the lakes in our area.
The main need is the monogram/brand for the ranch. Something that can be cut into a design on a gate as well as a future brand for cattle. If the brand can be incorporated into the logo/design, that would be great. A logo with Dam Bailey Ranch spelled out with the brand incorporated. As long as the brand can be a stand-alone design.
Other details. He likes to hunt and fish. Has two sons. He’s a sheriff.
I don’t think either of us have anything specific in mind but I’m excited to present them some options at least as a start.

Hi - I’m requesting a 5 day extension on the original deadline. I apologize, I didn’t fully understand how the timeline worked when signing up or I would have started with a 10 day project especially with the holiday in the middle of the project.
