Brief for New Brand & Product Launch 02 October 2023
Project Overview:
We are looking for several logo designs options for a new smart home brand that we are launching on 06 October 2023. The brand provides a smart home system to connect a suite of individual smart home products and is monitored securely for video and alarm response via an app.

Mati Home is a smart home system that protects and offers convenience to homeowners across the UK. We provide the best smart products available, blending cutting edge technology with user friendly features to create a smooth smart home experience. We are dedicated to enhancing people’s daily life through convenient smart home solutions. Our commitment revolves around seamlessly integrating state of the art technology with user friendly features, ensuring that people’s home not only stays secure, but also becomes smarter and more convenient.
Mati Home will be both the product and a trading arm of Group Secure. Group Secure recommends, instals, and maintains a range of market leading security products and solutions for businesses and homes. The Group Secure portfolio includes monitored burglar alarms, access control, electric gates, safes, and perimeter security systems all supported by unrivalled 24/7 customer service.

Our goal is to become a leading provider of smart home security solutions in the UK, combining advanced technology with convenient features, improving convenience and safety. Our vision for the future is a world in which every house embodies smart security that is effortlessly integrated into daily life, setting the bar for innovation, reliability, and ultimate peace of mind.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE
We are dedicated to making smart home technology accessible to first time and entry-level homeowners who are eager to embark the journey of transforming their homes into smart living spaces. We enable customers to stay connected with their families and pets to help to not miss the key moments that happened whilst they been absent.
DESIGN ELEMENTS & SPECIFICATIONS
• Logos and marks should be distinguishable from a distance and appear crisp regardless of size.
Colour preferences:
• We envision the logo to incorporate light blue as the primary colour since it evokes a sense of trust, calmness, and technological advancement.
• Group Secure, our parent company uses blue2 for the logo and in its brand identity.
• We do not want tint/pastels.
Font:
• We don’t have a specific font in mind. We just want a font style that complements the modern and innovation theme of the company.
KEY CONSIDERATIONS:
• This is a distinct product with a different solution, target audience and market to Group Secure. The branding will not be connected.
• While the product has a built-in alarm system and external monitoring via alarm.com, our proposition focus is on the smart and connected home—not security.
LOGO AND MARK USES:
• Website branding
• Corporate branding
• App branding
• Assurance elements of the product, such as window stickers and on external bell boxes.
TIMELINE:
This product launch is under tight time constraints.

OUR OPINIONS ABOUT OUR COMPETITORS’ LOGOS:
ADT:
• We like how the logo immediately communicates what the company offers (security and alarm systems).
• However, we are seeking a logo that emphasises the smart aspect rather than the security side of our product.
GoKonnect:
• Logo falls short in conveying the company's offerings effectively.
• Lacks the desired clarity in communicating the company's core services.
Halo Smart Home:
• Logo is basic and lacks creativity.
• Fails to stand out or differentiate the company in any distinctive way.
Smart Living Halo:
• Like the depiction of a house in the logo, emphasising products and services for households.
• Like the creative use of the "H" as a house, adding a unique touch.
• This design aligns with our preference for a logo that clearly communicates the company's offerings while standing out in the market.
