Resumen de Diseño de Tatuaje
UPDATE, 8 Feb: Maybe something like the below, if it can be made to look cohesive. I’ve uploaded new image ideas for each of the components described. Please remember that YOU are the artist. The images I’ve uploaded are less important than your vision of what I’ve described below. Thank you!
Tree of life in the shape of an elephant’s head and trunk.
The left half of the tree canopy is the left lobe of a human brain. The right half of the canopy is a bluebonnet flower, which has a few voids and is disintegrating/expanding into doves that are flying away from the tree.
The ground upon which the tree is growing is an infinity symbol (or an infinity symbol is depicted in or around the tree).
The roots of the tree come together as holding hands.

Hello, awesome artist!
My Mom recently passed away from a combo of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. I want to honor and memorialize her while also acknowledging that the fight against these devil diseases continues.
Alzheimer’s runs rampant in the women in my family. I am next. I am also approaching the same age when she, my grandmother, my great aunt and my great grandmother began to struggle.
I want to memorialize that I remember… before I forget.
Symbols of the fight against dementia and Alzheimer’s include: elephant, forget-me-not flower, purple ribbon, tree of life, blown dandelion, brain, butterfly and puzzle pieces.
My Mom fiercely loved her family, Texas, bluebonnets, painting, and volunteering for important causes. Since I was a little girl, we would hold hands and sing “I got you, babe” or “you are my sunshine” to each other.

I want the tattoo to be truthful but beautiful/sweet - not scary or tragic.
Any shape.
One to three colors.
Fairly simple and crisp for two reasons: (1) I can’t afford a super-expensive tattoo; and (2) I am outdoors a lot and expect a little bit of sun exposure, which may cause a little ink bleed.
Probably on my arm or chest, so it is visible to me.
A few examples I’ve found online are attached. I want this to be personal but also recognizable. I welcome your questions and appreciate your creative ideas.
Thank you!

- Symbology of: Alzheimer’s/dementia; evolution from here/tangible to ethereal/unknown. I want folks who see it to think, “Wow. That’s cool and powerful.” I don’t want people’s reaction to be, “well, that’s cute”.
