Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We need a new logo for a consulting engineering startup in Vancouver, BC. We are called “Proteus Systems”. We design and develop innovative and versatile electro-mechanical system solutions for industrial and marine clients. We excel at seeing the big picture to solve complex problems with elegant solutions tailored to the customer’s unique requirements.

Why the name “Proteus Systems”? Proteus, also referred to as “the old man of the sea” was an ancient greek sea god, son of Poseidon, who reflects many aspects of what we strive to be in a company.
- Adaptive, versatile: Proteus was a shape shifter able to take on many forms. It is from his name we have the adjective “protean” which means versatile or easy to change.
- Care for our planet (especially oceans).: Proteus was the shepherd of the sea’s flocks.
- Holistic/Big-Picture View - Proteus was a prophetic god, able to see all things past, present and future. While we do not have this ability, we seek to incorporate lessons of the past, knowledge of the present and considerations for the future in all of the work that we perform.

While the our name has its origins in antiquity, as a forward looking technology based company we are looking for a clean, modern logo that can capture who we are.
