I designed an online course. It about the newborn adoption process. I need you to design the template for it. Just the first 10 pages is enough. I'm thinking a neutral palette with a pop of a minor color to keep it from being boring. The pop of color should not distract the reader. You can design how you want. If you want to add small details or hearts or a shape in background you can. Just dont overdo it. Sparingly is the key. You can make pages a different color. It just needs to look like a neutral color palette with a small pop of color.
