Resumen de Diseño de portada de libro
A front/binder/and back cover for a kindle/paperback/and hard cover book--all the same design. (The hard cover is glued, not a cover with flaps as per KDP with amazon.)
In the end, I would need:
1) the front cover for the Kindle version.
2) the wrap cover version for the paperback version (8”X10”).
3) the wrap cover version for the hardback version (8.5”X10.5”).
4) a title.png for the title page.
On the front cover:
1) At the top: Inclusive Bedtime Stories
2) Title: The Never Land Hoax
3) author’s name: Gregory Fletcher
On the binding: title and author
On the back cover:
“What a wildly creative tumbling around of a classic story! It was pure joy to see Peter Pan reimagined with such a gorgeously queer cast of dear and funny characters. Gregory’s story has plenty of modern twists and remains hopeful where villains are outsmarted, out-loved, and out-dreamed by a chosen family who relentlessly refuse to believe they don’t deserve a truly happy ending. He expertly crafts a traditional tale of belonging so it can belong to everyone.”
— Paula Pell, “Girls5eva” and “SNL”
Inclusive Bedtime Stories is a new series that reinterprets classic bedtime stories for us all. The Never Land Hoax is the second in the series—an alternative version of what really happened to Wendy, John, and Michael Darling that fateful night they bolted from their dysfunctional Brooklyn household with a stranger. No pirates, crocodile, Indians, Tinkerbell, or flying—the adventures they discover in Harlem bring about a true paradise we all deserve.
Book one of the series is Tom and Huck Sitting in a Tree, which takes place during the boys’ teenage years in the same shabby, little village of St. Petersburg, Missouri, 1850. In the spirit of Mark Twain (only much more gay and romantic), the adventures will feel familiar but quirky, sweet but dark, and Americana but inclusive.

- The image I see on the lower half of the front cover is a black and white photo of a busy Harlem (New York) street from 1901 (when the neighborhood was made up of Jewish and Italian residents). The top half would be an illustrated night sky filled with stars (reminiscent of the Never Land stars from the children's story Peter Pan).
