Resumen de Diseño de Logo

Hi there,

We are a non-profit dedicated to building the public profile of Australia's kelp forests. We provide a voice and vision for Australia's temperate rocky reefs.

For years we have used a very simple logo of the words "Great Southern Reef" stacked an centred in font Bebas Neue. We want to update our logo, keeping it recognisable as previously with the same text but with some small 'tweaks' to make it pop, stand out and memorable. We are happy to explore similar fonts or utiliser the same font in a different way. We value simplicity over complex designs.

This added accent to the logo we want to to represent the GSR, which is famous for kelp, seaweeds and rocky reefs. One iconic kelp species in particular is the golden kelp - Ecklonia radiata (see image attached). Maybe one of the letters of the logo could be represented or replaced by the iconic shape of this kelp.

We are happy to go with just "Great Southern Reef" but also keen to see how it looks reading "Great Southern Reef Foundation" (the non-profit's name).
