About EAGxAustralasia:
EAGxAustralasia 2024 is an annual conference that is part of the global EAGx series, designed to bring together individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the world. These conferences are organised by and for the Effective Altruism (EA) community, a global movement dedicated to using evidence and reason to figure out how to benefit others as much as possible. EAGx events offer opportunities for learning, networking, and taking impactful action on the world's most pressing issues.

What is Effective Altruism?
Effective Altruism is a philosophy and social movement that focuses on answering one simple question: "How can we do the most good?" By using evidence-based approaches and careful reasoning, Effective Altruists aim to identify and address the most significant problems facing the world today. This might include global health and poverty alleviation, animal welfare, mitigating existential risks, and other cause areas where their actions can have the greatest impact.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking creative, stylish, and subtle designs for our EAGxAustralasia 2024 merchandise. This includes specifically a logo and t-shirt design, with the possibility of additional designs for items like tote bags, hats, hoodies, water bottles, and pens. The EAGxAustralasia branding should be understated, allowing the merchandise to be worn in a variety of settings without being overly promotional.

Key Points to Consider:
- Designs should be stylish, modern, and versatile.
- Branding should be subtle yet recognisable.
- The merchandise will be used at a major conference, so the designs should appeal to a wide audience within the EA community.
- We are open to creativity and innovation, so feel free to propose unique concepts that align with the values of Effective Altruism.

I’ve attached our current logo for reference, as well as some designs from previous EAGx events. Please note that the lightbulb graphic is the standard logo used for Effective Altruism more broadly.
