Design Brief for "Christus Victor: Hymns of the Gettys" Album Artwork

Project Overview: We are commissioning the album design for PraiseCharts' upcoming project titled "Christus Victor: Hymns of the Gettys". The album will feature hymns by the Gettys, focusing on the theological theme of Christus Victor, which highlights Christ's triumph over sin, death, and evil through His death and resurrection.

Objective: The album cover should visually represent the theme of Christus Victor, emphasizing Christ's victorious role as the conqueror of darkness and the restorer of creation. It should reflect both the power and hope found in Christ's resurrection, tying into the rich lyrical tradition of the Gettys' hymns.

Key Themes to Represent:

Victory over Darkness: Illustrate Christ's triumph over sin, death, and evil. This could be symbolized through powerful imagery like a rising light, a victorious cross, or broken chains.

Hope and Resurrection: The design should evoke a sense of hope, renewal, and life, representing Christ’s resurrection. Use vibrant, uplifting colors and visuals that suggest life overcoming death.

Cosmic Battle and Triumph: Convey the cosmic nature of Christ’s victory. This can be communicated through contrasting imagery (e.g., light vs. darkness, good vs. evil) that shows Christ’s authority and power.
