I don't think I was clear in my brief. This logo's best looking format needs to be horizontal banner type (will be in top left corner of every page in the software). Although I like badge type shapes, I really like it when the graphics and the text interact with each other and because it's hard to change orientation of that design, please design it to work in a horizontal shape (like DesignCrowd's logo at top of this page shape - but ideally with the graphic and text interacting)

I had good feedback from others here at the office. If we go with a rabbit we'd like it to be nerdy, not cool/hip. Shades make it too much like the trademarked energiser bunny so we'd like to avoid that. If you can capture nerdy but still have a professional looking logo that someone could take seriously, then I think that would be a winner. Love so many of the submissions I'm seeing so many are so close.
