Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We would like to create a logo for a new software application we are launching. The software is used in metal stamping (think car parts, washing machines, etc..) We're in the "manufacturing industry" and would like to convey a high tech feel for this product. I have included our current logo for our main brand (T-SIM software ) as reference. The new logo does not need to be a "look alike" of this existing logo but perhaps the color scheme or general feel could be similar so someone may recognize the relationship between the two brands. We like to convey the Optimization focus in the icon... increase productivity, upward momentum...
