Resumen de Diseño de Logo

I am a mechanical engineering consulting business based in Queensland Australia. I do mechanical design for project ranging from mining and power stations to aviation and agriculture. This could be anything from machinery to platforms and walkways

The business name is Prograde Engineering. The term prograde has been used since I'm a keen space nerd and it's a space orbit term for a west-east orbit and the term 'pro' grade fits well in suggesting professional services.
I'd like some refences to the space element, possibly using an orbit path or something else but it doesn't have to be super prominent. More subtle is absolutely ok. Other space references are also welcome if they fit the meaning well.

I don't think I want the inclusion of the typical gear (cog) that is often used in mechanical engineering logos, however, I'm open to it if is done tastefully and uniquely.

I want the logo to look clean and professional. I don't thing I want one that's overly complex. I'd like it to be easy to embroider or cut out of plate with cnc machines. If it includes colour, I'd like for it to not look terribly different when shown in black and white. not a big issue though, I'm open to either all capitals, capitalized first letters or all lower case. I trust you'll work your magic in choosing what works best for the logo. I think I like the grey and blue tones. My favourite colour is orange but I'm not super keen on contrasting colours in the logo (this is just based on my simple thoughts and am happy to be showing it can be included and done well). Overall though, I don't think I want more than 3 colours with 2 being ideal max.

I'm not sure which way I want to go with having the logo and text being separate or whether the text makes part of the logo. I'm keen for help in choosing that.

• I'd like some reference to space (prograde is a space term). The business doesn't do anything for the space industry, I am just a keen space nerd and so a subtle nod to the 'prograde' space term would be very nice.
