Project Overview:
We’re designing a branded welcome box to be sent to new full-time employees when they accept a role at our company. The goal is to create a memorable unboxing experience that feels welcoming, high-quality, and aligned with our company’s identity—professional but fresh, outdoorsy yet refined.

Box Specifications:
• Dimensions: 14" x 12" x 5"
• Packaging: Corrugated mailer box with full color print on the outside and inside of the box
• Contents:
o Branded insulated YETI tumbler
o Leatherman multi-tool
o Owala water bottle
o Pen
o Pencil
o Coaster in the shape of our logo
o Double-sided postcard that matches the box design

Design Direction:
Color Palette:
• Shades of blue – cool, fresh tones (navy, sky, cobalt, soft gray-blue)
• Can include white or light neutral accents for contrast
Outside of Box:
• Design Theme: Water elements (such as rivers, streams, etc.) & rugged outdoor scenery
• Style: On the top of the box, the style should include clean and dynamic with bold shapes, subtle nods to water/outdoor scenery in an abstract way, and the message “Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime” in clean, bold text
o The design needs to have a designated 4x6 space on one of the side flaps for a shipping label
• Should look sleek and professional for mailing, while still engaging and fun to open
Inside of Box:
• Design Theme: Outdoor scenic landscape
• Elements to include:
o Mountains (right side)
o Stylized pine trees (scattered on the left and foreground)
o A rocky river that flows from left to right
 We would love to see a few design options that include a person kayaking, white water rafting, or fishing in the river. There should be two people – a man and a woman. But we do not want all designs to include this element.
o A sky with subtle clouds or sun for depth
• Text (on inside of lid):
“Welcome to US! We’re so glad you’re here!”
o Staggered and aligned to the left
o In bold, stylized typeface that’s friendly but clean
• Design should evoke a feeling of adventure, belonging, and excitement

Deliverables:
• Final dielines with both inside and outside designs
o You can use the attached dieline template as a guide
o The delivered art file needs to comply with the following artwork guidelines
 Set the color space to CMYK.
 Expand all fonts and text to vectors.
 Embed or attach all relevant images.
 Flatten all transparencies in the file, please.
 Include a 0.25" bleed if the graphic exceeds the dieline.
 Ensure that the dieline is on a separate layer that’s visible for prepress.
 Make the file format readable in AI CS6. If you're using Adobe Illustrator Creative Cloud, you can choose CS6 in the 'Save As' menu.
• Mockups of the open and closed box showing the products/orientation in the attached image
• Optional: a design for the double-sided postcard that could be displayed on top of the coaster in the box
o This design would match the scenic imagery on the interior of the box – on the other side, it would include a simple welcome message
