Tooth Ferry AI is a software platform that takes dental scans from dentists and sends them (like a ferry) to the dental lab with an AI generated crown design.
Tooth Ferry is a pun on the Tooth Fairy that also acknowledges the fact that we are taking data from one end (dentists) and shipping it to the other (dental labs).

For more context, to get a dental crown, a dentist will prepare the tooth to be restored, take impressions of both dental arches and send it to a dental lab. The lab takes these impressions, identifies the tooth to be restored, designs a crown, and then manufactures it. The process requires expert technicians, that are increasingly scarce and of widely varying skill levels. Designing crowns continues to require many manual steps. The final crown produced is usually delivered a week or more later at a cost of several hundred dollars.
