Kdot Apparel – Design Brief

Brand Background
Kdot Apparel is the official clothing line of Kalus, a Melbourne-based DJ and producer. The brand is a streetwear extension of his music identity — modern, minimal, and bold — with a focus on high-quality handmade pieces.

Vision & Style
• Targeting the same space as brands like Carré (Culture Kings) with clean, urban-inspired designs.
• Style direction: streetwear, minimalistic graphics, bold typography, tonal blacks, subtle gloss/matte finishes, and occasional pops of red or silver.
• Pieces: T-shirts, long sleeves, hoodies.
Design Elements
• Logos: “kdot” wordmark, “K” icon, and variations with KDOT APPAREL text.
• Print styles: screen print, embroidery (for sleeve stripes, chest logos, labels), and tone-on-tone gloss for subtle detailing.
• Placement ideas:
• Large back prints with KDOT and abstract logo graphics. (Melbourne City Skyline)
• Sleeve bands with repeating “KDOT APPAREL”.
• Neckline branding wraparound.
• Subtle embroidery on hem or sleeve.

What We Need From a Designer
• Refined, production-ready graphic layouts (vector/PSD).
• Ability to work with embroidery and print constraints.
• High-resolution designs for T-shirts, hoodies.
• Creativity in bringing new variations while keeping brand identity strong, bold, and timeless.
