Resumen de Diseño de Logo

The DeKalb Jazz Fest logo should feel joyful, expressive, and rooted in the arts, while remaining clean, classic, and timeless. This festival celebrates jazz as a living art form—honoring its history while spotlighting creativity, culture, and community across DeKalb County.

Overall Feel
Fun and vibrant, but not trendy or fleeting
Sophisticated yet approachable
Reflective of music, movement, and artistic expression
Designed to live comfortably across years, formats, and platforms

Creative Direction
The logo should subtly incorporate elements that nod to jazz and the broader arts, such as:
Musical rhythm or flow (movement, lines, waves, or abstract sound cues)
Artistic forms (brush strokes, layered shapes, or dynamic geometry)
A sense of improvisation—without being chaotic
Rather than literal instruments, we prefer abstract or symbolic references that evoke jazz culture and creativity.

Typography
Strong, legible type that feels classic with character
Inspired by vintage jazz posters or modern arts branding
Should stand on its own for long-term use, even without supporting graphics

Color Palette
Rich, expressive colors associated with jazz and the arts
Think warm tones, deep blues, golds, purples, or earthy neutrals
The palette should feel energetic yet refined
Must translate well in full color, black & white, and single-color applications
Timelessness & Versatility
The logo should not rely on current design trends

Must work across:
Digital (web, social, video)
Print (posters, programs, signage)
Merchandise (tees, totes, hats)
Should feel just as relevant 10 years from now as it does today
Brand Alignment

The logo should reflect:
Community
Cultural pride
Artistic excellence
