Creative Vehicle Branding & Van Wrap Design – RFP

Lighting Maintenance Inc. (LMI) is seeking a creative, innovative designer or agency to develop a new, standout branding design for our four Ford Transit service vans.

This design must reflect who we are and what we do: electrical service, construction, and large-scale commercial, roadway, and sports lighting. This is a company that works in the air, not behind a desk.

The Objective

Create a highly recognizable, eye-catching van design that:

Clearly communicates electrical and lighting expertise

Reflects scale, capability, and professionalism

Stands out on highways, job sites, and parking lots

Feels bold and modern, not generic contractor stock art

Our vans are rolling billboards for serious infrastructure work. They should look the part.

Critical Context (Read This Carefully)

Most of our work is performed from bucket trucks

We operate bucket trucks reaching up to 140 feet

Our crews work on:

Street and roadway lighting

Sports field lighting

Commercial and industrial lighting

Electrical service and construction

The design should acknowledge verticality, height, light, and scale.
That could mean visual elements that imply:

Reaching upward

Light projection

Infrastructure

Power, precision, and access

Literal illustrations are not required, but the design should feel relevant to high-reach, high-visibility work.

Non-Negotiables

The existing LMI logo stays exactly as-is

No redesigns, distortions, or reinterpretations of the logo

Everything else is open for exploration

Creative Freedom (Encouraged)

You may explore:

Bold color systems

High-contrast layouts

Clean, strong typography (outside the logo)

Abstract or graphic representations of light, elevation, or power

Minimal but impactful messaging

If it looks like every other electrical contractor van, we’re not interested.

Design Requirements

Eye-catching at speed and from distance

Clean and professional up close

Scalable across four vans and future fleet growth

Practical for real-world wrap production

Timeless enough to last, modern enough to matter

Scope of Work

Concept development (multiple design directions preferred)

Final wrap-ready design files for Ford Transit vans

Layout consideration for sides, rear, and doors

Coordination-friendly designs for professional wrap installation

Who Should Respond

Designers or agencies with vehicle wrap or large-format branding experience

Strong conceptual thinkers who design with intent
