Is NYCE... a reference to New York or just a distinctive branding? Any target demographic audience?

Hey it was just a name from an old friend who passed and his DJ name was DJ NYCE. He was from New York actually. It was more a way for me to tie his name into the name and refer to a NYCE SHOT/photo shot / etc . I got some submissions with a camera in it but not what I was looking for. Cleaned/modern aesthetic is more what I was thinking.

So if you don't want any sort of camera reference, do you just want a wordmark (text only)?
Or is there some other symbol/photo references that you would like to see?
