Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We are a commercial electricity brokerage. We would like a logo combining energy and the idea of singularity- the point from where everything begins. The idea is something to do with space and energy. . It can be in color, but needs to copy to black, white and gradient and look nice because we will use it in our training packets and hiring paperwork. Our clients are large commercial & industrials/manufactures and municipalities(cities/ISDs/MUDs). We DO NOT SELL to residential. We have thought a tiny alien reference would be neat, but not sure if that is a good idea. This is a professional business, and don't want it to come across as "character or cartoon". It would be nice to have him, as an extra for less casual purposes as a mascot. If there is a way to have him on some of the logo but not all.
This is one of the themes we've thought of with the alien. Please do not limit down to the alien, but it's just an idea. We do not not want it to become too cartoon:
