Resumen de Diseño de Flyer

We need a tri-fold brochure for Kids Make Theatre, a theatrical learning community of the Liberty Theatre in Astoria, Oregon. You can learn more about us at kidsmaketheatre.org.

The Liberty Theatre has its own brochure, and they’d like Kids Make Theatre to have one as well.

The goal is to create an evergreen brochure that accurately represents our community and won’t need to be reprinted too soon. It should communicate our student-centered, process-oriented approach to theatre education while feeling fun, welcoming, uplifting, and visually engaging—not like a typical, text-heavy brochure.

Kids Make Theatre serves children and teens ages 3.5-18, so the brochure should reflect that wide age range in both the photos and overall feel.

We have a large collection of photos, and I’ll need help reviewing them and selecting the strongest images. I’ve uploaded our logos and a few photos of the colorful stairway entrance referenced below so you can get a sense of our branding and the visual feeling I’m hoping to capture. Once hired, I’ll provide access to the rest of our photo library.

Our space includes a kid-sized black box theatre (“The Lab”) and two classrooms. We’ve been in operation for about 3.5 years.

The brochure should use our existing brand assets, including our fonts, colors, logos, and icons. I’ve uploaded our logos along with photos of our colorful stairway entrance. I’d love for the brochure to capture the feeling and energy of that space—it has the playful, creative atmosphere I’m hoping the design will convey.

One fun design idea I’d love to explore: our unofficial mascot is a dragon. I’d like the brochure to have a whimsical element where, as it’s folded or unfolded, a complete dragon is gradually revealed across the panels. I’m open to creative interpretations, but I’d like the dragon to appeal across our entire age range—not too scary, but not overly childish either. If you’re excited by creative layout challenges, I’d love to see what you come up with.

The audience for this brochure is broad. It will be picked up by prospective families with children and teens, Liberty Theatre patrons who may not know we exist, sponsors and donors, community members, and other visitors. It should work equally well as an introduction to who we are and an invitation to learn more.
