Hi.
I want to clarify right away that I'm not trying to offend you. These questions are dictated by the task you've set.

1. Your logo is too...ambiguous to enter the international arena.
Let's imagine for a second that someone sees your logo for the first time without knowing the brand's history. Without knowing that you're a Christian organization.
What would they see?
A praying figure? Are you sure?
But I think it's a figurine of some terrorist victim (especially in orange... ISIS or whoever committed terrible acts while filming them), or a person standing in front of a toilet after a heavy drinking session...
The logo is "readable," but only with difficulty, after reading the name.
This is a very poor branding solution for a general audience. A logo should be instantly readable, without any decoding. Even AI can tell you this if you ask it. Branding books will improve, but it's just a matter of time.
I'd like to clarify. What exactly do you want from the design? Not "improve the lines" in what direction?
What's wrong with the existing ones? "Update the typography"—modern fonts are a questionable decision for a Christian organization. You're not an IT company or a wellness studio, after all. "And make the overall logo modern and professional."
It already looks quite professional.
What exactly do you want? The more detailed you describe your desires, the more guaranteed you are to get exactly what you want.
I repeat, I don't mean to offend you in any way. Although some questions may seem a bit harsh. But it's simply impossible to express a more tolerant thought here.

Thank you for your attention.
