Resumen de Diseño de Logo
We are creating the brand identity for Acacia & Aloe, a new boutique lifestyle store in Lismore, New South Wales.
The store will offer a thoughtfully curated mix of homewares, interiors, clothing, gifts, candles, soft furnishings, plants and locally made pieces. The overall feel will blend natural Australian influences with subtle African, coastal and contemporary elements.
The brand should feel:
- Warm, natural and welcoming
- Refined and stylish without feeling expensive or intimidating
- Contemporary and distinctive
- Calm, confident and thoughtfully curated
- Gender-neutral, with a gentle feminine warmth
The required wording is:
Acacia & Aloe
Home • Clothing • Living
“Acacia & Aloe” should be the hero, with “Home • Clothing • Living” used as a smaller secondary line.
Visual direction
We will upload an existing concept that we like. It should be treated as a reference for the overall level of simplicity and sophistication—not as something to copy or merely refine. We are commissioning this project because we would like to see fresh ideas and genuinely different interpretations.
Elements we particularly like in the reference include:
- Clean, elegant and highly legible typography
- A simple acacia tree paired with an aloe plant beneath it
- A strong, memorable emblem that can stand alone
- A balanced composition that feels established and sophisticated
- Minimal detail rather than intricate botanical illustration
We would like designers to explore their own interpretation of the relationship between the acacia tree and the aloe. The tree may sit above the aloe, grow from it, frame it or be combined with it through shape, linework or negative space. Both elements should remain recognisable, but they do not need to be depicted literally.
The finished logo should be simple enough to reproduce clearly on a rubber stamp, swing tag, product label or small social media icon. Fine lines, tiny leaves and excessive botanical detail are therefore unlikely to work.
Colour palette
The preferred palette is:
- Olive, eucalyptus or sage green
- Ivory, warm cream or light stone
- Other subtle warm neutrals may be introduced where appropriate
Variations within this natural green-and-stone family are welcome. We are not looking for bright primary colours, blue, yellow, harsh black-and-white branding or a dark brown rustic palette.
Typography
We like typography that is clean, elegant and timeless. Designers are welcome to explore serif or sans-serif options, provided the result remains:
- Easy to read
- Sophisticated but approachable
- Not excessively decorative
- Not overly delicate, whimsical or trend-driven
Please avoid
- Generic stock-tree or clip-art imagery
- Busy botanical illustrations
- An overly rustic, crafty or farmers-market appearance
- A bohemian or “hippie” aesthetic
- Logos that feel like a garden centre, health-food shop or skincare brand
- Anything overly feminine, ornate or precious
- Designs that simply reproduce the uploaded reference with minor changes
- Icons with so much detail that they will not work at a small size
Applications
The identity will need to work across:
- Shopfront signage
- Packaging and swing tags
- Rubber stamps
- Social media
- Website and digital marketing
- Staff clothing or aprons
- Printed stationery and promotional material
We would ideally like to see:
1. A primary stacked logo
2. A horizontal version
3. The emblem or icon on its own
4. Full-colour and single-colour versions
5. Examples shown on both light stone and sage/olive backgrounds
The goal is a logo that feels simple, recognisable and quietly beautiful—something that could become a trusted and established lifestyle brand rather than simply a decorative boutique logo.
