SEMCA Michigan Works! Partial Van Wrap
Vehicle
Year/Make/Model: 2026 Ford Transit-350 Wagon
Trim: XLT
Body Style: 4-Door Passenger Van
Configuration: Low Roof, 148-inch Wheelbase
Please use the correct vehicle template for this specific configuration.
Wrap Area
This is a partial wrap with a clearly defined starting point.
The primary wrap should begin immediately behind the front driver and passenger doors and continue toward the rear of the vehicle.
The front doors are not part of the primary wrap. Instead, we would like to explore using both front doors as a separate, clean branding area featuring:
SEMCA Michigan Works! logo
SEMCAMiWorks.org
800.285.9675
The front-door treatment should visually coordinate with the main wrap without making the doors feel overly designed or cluttered.
Creative Direction
Develop a bold, contemporary design that makes the van immediately recognizable as SEMCA Michigan Works! and communicates that we serve both job seekers and employers.
The vehicle should function as a moving billboard—something that gets attention on the road, creates curiosity, and gives viewers an immediate way to learn more.
The design should feel exciting, energetic, professional, modern, approachable, and highly visible.
Avoid a traditional government, institutional, or overly corporate appearance.
Primary Brand Message
Our tagline is:
THE WAY TO WORK.
Make this a significant visual element of the wrap.
The supporting graphics and messaging should reinforce what The Way to Work. means for our two primary audiences:
JOB SEEKERS
Career opportunities • Training • Support
EMPLOYERS
Talent • Training • Workforce solutions
These words are provided as creative direction, not necessarily required copy. We encourage the designer to recommend concise messaging that is powerful and readable on a moving vehicle.
Overall Visual Approach
Use a dark-color-driven design with strong contrast and bold graphic elements.
Explore creative uses of:
Large-scale typography
Strong geometric shapes
Angles or sweeping graphic elements
Gradients or dimensional effects
Photography integrated into the graphics
Visual movement from the front of the wrap toward the rear
The design beginning immediately behind the front doors provides an opportunity for a strong visual transition into the wrapped portion of the van. We encourage the designer to make that transition an intentional part of the concept.
Imagery
Stock imagery may be used where appropriate.
If photography is incorporated, select authentic-looking images that represent the breadth of today's workforce. Potential industries could include skilled trades, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, technology, professional careers, and other in-demand occupations.
Avoid generic corporate imagery such as posed office workers or handshake photos.
We are also very open to a graphics- and typography-driven design without photography if it creates a stronger visual identity.
Front Doors
Treat the front doors as their own brand/contact zone.
Explore a clean treatment containing:
SEMCA Michigan Works! logo
SEMCAMiWorks.org
800.285.9675
These elements should be large enough to read but should not compete visually with the main wrap.
Consider whether a small graphic element from the primary wrap should carry onto or connect visually with the front-door branding. The main wrap itself, however, should begin behind the front doors.
Driver and Passenger Sides
The large wrapped area behind the front doors should carry the primary campaign message and visual impact.
Within a few seconds, someone should understand or remember:
SEMCA Michigan Works!
THE WAY TO WORK.
We serve job seekers and employers.
SEMCAMiWorks.org
Do not attempt to list all SEMCA Michigan Works! services. The goal is to get attention and generate interest, then direct people to the website or phone number to learn more.
Rear of Vehicle
The rear should be simple, bold, and highly readable in traffic.
Consider a message such as:
THE WAY TO WORK.
Looking for work?
Looking for workers?
SEMCAMiWorks.org
800.285.9675
Include the SEMCA Michigan Works! logo.
Account for all rear windows, doors, handles, seams, lights, and other vehicle hardware when developing the design.
Design Relationship
Think of the vehicle as having three connected visual zones:
1. Front/Cab
Primarily the existing vehicle finish.
2. Front Doors
Clean SEMCA Michigan Works! identity and contact information.
3. Behind the Front Doors to Rear
The primary high-impact wrap containing the campaign graphics, imagery, tagline, and job seeker/employer messaging.
All three areas should feel like parts of one intentional design.
What We Want People to Remember
The vehicle does not need to explain everything we do.
At a glance, the three most important takeaways are:
SEMCA Michigan Works!
THE WAY TO WORK.
SEMCAMiWorks.org
The overall impression should be that SEMCA Michigan Works! is a modern, active workforce resource connecting people to careers and employers to talent.
Concepts Requested
Please provide 2–3 distinct initial concepts before a final direction is selected.
We would like to see:
A bold typography/graphics-driven approach
A concept incorporating workforce/career photography
A third concept that takes a different creative approach and pushes the brand visually
For each concept, please provide mockups of the:
Driver side
Passenger side
Rear
Front-door branding/contact treatment
We encourage creative interpretation. These instructions establish the required information and overall goals, but we want the designer to bring forward ideas that make the vehicle distinctive, exciting, and memorable.
