Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We need a new logo design for an existing in-home health care business in the Midwest called "Lighthouse Homecare". The design needs to appeal to the caring, compassion, loving, and nurturing aspect of this type of care. I want to stay away from the obvious physical "lighthouse" design but we have traditionally used some form of radiant design, i.e. beams from the lighthouse. We have also used a heart cradled from below with two hands. Colors should be soft and inviting, and appeal to those seeking care for a loved one. Dependability and professionalism needs to be communicated. The name of the business will be displayed near the logo but need not be an integral part of the design, unless you "WOW" me!
