I need a cover design for a memoir that is a victim's story of a sexual assault. I will need a print-on-demand cover, an eBook cover, and a 3D thumbnail image. The thumbnail and eBook cover will be used immediately, and the POD cover will be used in a few months with the full manuscript is ready. Therefore, I need an artist who is willing to make small adjustments if needed once the page count is set.
I have a image I have purchased that should give you an idea of the desired direction, but you can feel free to use your own images. I have attached some examples of book covers I like. I attached a color palette for fonts.
Overall Look: Fonts should be feminine and thin, but large to stand out. Look should be simple and elegant, and display and overall depressing feeling. There should be enough detail though to make it look professionally put together. Not TOO minimalistic.
I have also attached the Create Space templates if you choose to use those. If not, ensure there is an open place for the barcode on the bottom right.
Updates
I added some additional photos that you can use for the cover. It seemed as though some designers didn't like to use to one I selected, however, the ones they chose were not really what I am looking for. I also posted a description update. The key is clean, simple and elegant, with enough detail to make it look professional put together. If you have any questions on what that means please ask.

One of you brought to my attention that some of the photos would not open properly. They were in PNG format I believe. I have updated them all the JPG format. Let me know anyone has trouble opening any others.

I wanted to thank all the designers who have worked on this project so far, and for those who have accepted the invitation to submit designs. Although I have received a fair number of designs, I have still not yet found something. Many of the designs are just tiny variations of the same thing from designers who I asked to make a few adjustments, so please do not get discouraged.
One thing I have seen a lot of is just simple font placement over the photograph. I would like to see something I little more creative then this, so please do not be afraid to step outside of the box. A few of you have and have given me something I wouldn't have normally expected (or been able to re-create myself).

To all designers: I just wanted to thank you all for all the hard work you have been doing. I have a few designs that I am currently deciding between that I like very much, so hang tight on that. Also, since there is 5 days left in the competition, I wanted to give those of you a chance who might not be in the top to come up with an additional design. I have uploaded a new image and have updated my brief. This image was one another designer found for me, but whose style wasn't what I was looking for. Feel free to work up a design using this image, even if you already have submitted designs under consideration.

One last thing: With regard to the new photo, what I am looking for is creative font placement and small details like font style, color, and effects that make it look professional and detailed. For example, having a white glow, or a slight gray shadow can make a font really stand out. Also, having colors that are not just black. For instance, the new image would look great with a blue-ish green font for the title with a shadow, and maybe a dark greyish brown (or black even) for the author name with a smokey white glow around it, and a white font for the sub title up top. Just some ideas. With this image, creative font placement is really going to make it stand out.
