Task Description
Project Summary – Republic Beverages

What type of product or service do we offer?
We import premium spirits and beer and sell to wholesalers. Only highly awarded and exclusive products are offered. We sell our products direct to chain stores and state-based wholesalers who in turn sell the retailers.

How long have we been in business?
Start-up business. We are a small business employing only 4 staff Australia wide.

What do we hope to accomplish with our new identity?
As we are not known at all, the business is in need of a logo that reflects the high end products that we import without being too stuffy. We need to be cool enough for young bartenders but serious enough for buyers in big supermarket chains.

What are our long term goals?
To become a leading boutique importer well known for our premium products. Also, to be the name that low volume and well respected producers turn to import their products.
Customers and suppliers are to feel that we are a medium to large player and we are an influential importer.

Who would we like to add to our audience?
From big business to bar staff

Perception/Tone/Guidelines
“Cool” and contemporary. Not loud, but noticeable. Appear as a larger business than we are.

What type of logo would we like?
Something that instantly is recognisable, simple, conveys quality, exclusivity & is up-market but fun.

Do we have any colours in mind for our logo?
Surprise us.

Specific images or icons we have in mind
Typically, wine glasses, barrels and bottles are included in logos in our market. We do not wish to have these.
