Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We've developed a web application called Ingrid and are now looking for a really cool logo and icon for it.

I want to now give you some key design concepts we have established for Ingrid. We'd like the logo to reflect these concepts and ideas.

Ingrid is designed to be a really friendly and super reliable "assistant" or "manager" everyone dreams of whether you're an individual who needs help organizing your life or a business that needs the best possible "manager" anyone can dream of.

The most important key concept for Ingrid is "elegance". We tried to design all the functions as well as the user interface to be not just cool and functional but very elegant.

We've chosen the name Ingrid because we wanted this app to have a feminine personality which should inspire the feelings of being "caring", "capable", "friendly", "competent" and most importantly "elegant". We thought of a female ballerina or a violin player who not only performs with perfection but also does it with elegance.

We are trying to make the application so friendly that people start referring to Ingrid as if it's a person. We want users to say things like "Ask Ingrid..." or "Ingrid has the numbers you're looking for..." or "Let me check with Ingrid to see if I'm available...".

One more detail may help you in your design: the application has a black (actually very dark gray) background. This is done for two reasons:

1. Dark background on computer screens is actually easier on human eyes.
2. Again, it's a reference to "elegance" as in the case of a black gown or a black tuxedo people would wear at black tie events.

IMPORTANT: We want the design to have a modern feel to it but elegance is key. Please also keep in mind that we expect a lot businesses to use Ingrid, therefore we want to invoke feelings of elegance subtly through lines in the design. Please see attached image. This can be the letter "i" in Ingrid and the icon. We cannot use that design as it was created by a designer for another purpose but I wanted to use that to explain what I mean by "elegance" and "feminine persona".

What we need from you:
We need two things which should work together: a logo and and an icon. For example, when someone sees the letter "f", they know it's Facebook or the little blue bird is Twitter. We need both a logo and an icon that represent Ingrid. Ideally, these two are part of the same design and NOT two separate things.

We'd like the final design to be a vector image so that we can scale it up and down as necessary. Your final delivery should be in Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop format. You can also show us JPG or PNG images during the review/approval process.
