Resumen de Diseño de Logo
We are a Professional group of people starting a center to assist and support families and individuals with their life balance and process in the context of our contemporary society/world. We focus on health, education and cultural change. The name of the center is ´´Bek´´ which is the Mayan name for the tree Ehretia tinifolia- it is a medicinal tree and important in local culture. The tree symbolizes strength, growth, nature, stability, balance, a place of comfort and protection. The tree is large with generous foliage and this needs to be portrayed. The tree is not a character, it hosts/protects the family. The family is a couple with a five year old and a baby. I´m including a very rough sketch of what is on my mind. This could be fixed up professionally or we are open to better ideas. The idea is that the family is at the center of society which are somehow alluded to graphically in the tree´s foliage. “Bek” should be more prominent than Centro which could be more subdued or smaller as I might later use the same logo with merchandise omitting “centro”.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: We want to extend the project deadline as we have yet to find exactly what we are looking for. While a couple of designers have gotten close, only a day ago did we see someone who actually looked at the specific tree we mentioned in the brief and managed to capture the feeling we are after. However we have yet to see a family captured with the emotions as we´d like them. Ideally we want a family with a child and a baby (although we are not entirely wedded to this mix if a great graphic alternative is offered). We want them to feel united and empowered. The look should be more elegant than cartoonish. Please let us know if you need more clarification to work on your design.
