Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We need a logo design for a new company based in Nelson, New Zealand, called Tasman Aerospace. It provides aircraft maintenance for small planes and helicopters based in Nelson Tasman coastal region, one of the most beautiful parts of the country. The owners are in partnership with pilot training school Nelson Aviation College. I will attach Nelson Aviation College logo as a reference but the Tasman Aerospace logo does not need to be similar, in fact better if it's different. The company prides itself on bringing professional airline safety maintenance standards to general aviation for light aircraft (where often standards are lower than airlines). It's tagline is safety, professionalism and service. We want to avoid anything too literal (e.g. an aeroplane, helicopter blades, spanner etc) and go for a strong negative space graphic. We would like either a bird native to New Zealand (e.g. a Kea) and/or something involving mountains (bird on its own, bird flying over mountains etc - the theme of soaring/flying is an attractive one). I am attaching some strong negative space images that have inspired us and also some Kea images. The logo must work on a sand coloured hangar with a dark forest green roof (pic of similar smaller hangar attached), Green would be good (Kea is green) but open to ideas. The main colours in the Nelson Tasman region landscape are forest green, gold, brown, turquoise and blue. The logo also needs to be strong in black and white.
