This competition is for a design which will be printed onto MyBuddy-Box - see website www.mybuddy-box.com

MyBuddy-Box is targeted at females 25 - 55 with the main uses being supermarket shopping & laundry. We want a design which is appealing both when the box is folded and being carried to the shops or stored away, but that is also appealing when the box is open and in use.

MyBuddy-Box is a brand new and innovative product. It is UK designed and made. There is nothing else on the market like it and it has a patent pending.

MyBuddy-Box uses the principals of origami to open from a small ‘briefcase’ like flat-pack into a rigid stackable box capable of carrying at least 20kg.

MyBuddy-Box was originally invented with supermarket shopping in mind as a replacement for environmentally unfriendly and unhygienic carrier bags and ‘bags for life’.

MyBuddy-Box is reusable, super-strong and lightweight. Its uniquely compact design makes it an ideal temporary storage solution that can be used in a variety of other applications including:

• Washing/Ironing/Laundry
• Caravan & Camping
• Days Out With The Family
• Back Of The Car
• Moving House
• Home Office filing
• Toy Storage
• Garage Tidy
• Garden waste
• Recycling Box


Designs can either be repeating patterns or can utilize each of the sides/surfaces separately.

The design need to be in two parts - one for when the Box is folded where you will see the two sides, the top and the handle - then one for when the box is open where you will see two different sides and two ends. When the box is open the first part of the design will not be seen as it becomes the base of the box.

The design will be printed onto white boxes and not Black or Blue as featured in some of the images and videos.

The dimensions of the printed surfaces are as follows:-

Folded:-

2 sides 32cm x 25cm
Top with Carry Handle 32m x 4.5cm

Open:-
2 sides 55cm x 22.5cm
2 Ends with Cut Out Carry Handles 32cm x 19cm


A Design Sheet is attached which shows the dimensions of the box as a single flat sheet for reference.

Please note this brief has been updated and simplified - we are looking for multiple designs and will award equal 2nd and 3rd prizes if we like more than one design.
