Your job is to design/create artwork that captures how music makes people feel.
Spotify is looking to engage their audience of 18-24 year-olds for whom music plays an important role in developing their identity, navigating life, and connecting with people around them.
Music is a short cut to our emotions. And, music has always been part of our social experience. Spotify believes music helps people express how they’re #NowFeeling, and that discovering and sharing music with friends makes our connection to each other richer.
Spotify is creating a campaign that shares people's #NowFeeling stories of connecting with each other through music, enabled by Spotify. Our objective is to showcase playful - but honest - moments between people, and in doing so showcase how the platform enables discovery, sharing, and conversation through music.
Spotify invites artists and designers to submit artwork that best captures how music makes people feel and brings them together.
Submissions must capture one or all of:
- The feeling of listening to music with friends, families, loved ones
- a first dance or first kiss
- friends or people connecting at a festival
- How music unites people from all cultures and backgrounds
- How music moves us
- A vision of what you hear and feel when listening to a song
- Communicating something when words are not enough
The goal of the winning submissions is to use them across Spotify's channels, to inspire their audience to create and share music playlists and use the many features of the platform. They will also be showcased as part of an official Spotify event.
Spotify & Talenthouse understand that artists will have their own interpretation of the brief so be sure to include a description with your submission and share the Spotify song or playlist that inspired it so we can follow your creative process.

The DesignCrowd project has 3 places, and the Talenthouse package is even bigger! One overall winner will receive:
- $2,500
- Exposure across Spotify social channels
- Their work showcased as part of an exclusive event in London
- A Spotify Premium Account for 12 months
- The opportunity to feature in a Spotify paid media campaign and/or to have future work commissioned by Spotify
- A minimum of 20 finalists will have their work showcased as part of an event – to be viewed by key senior figures within the creative, media and music industries.
Guidelines:
- Artists should retain their original artwork files (in 300dpi) but designs must be submitted in JPEG or PNG, max size 5MB
- All entries must be original artwork (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright materials) - photographs will not be accepted.
- Artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should they be selected.

*NB: Please do not include logos or the hashtag on your artwork- these can be added to the winning design once it has been selected.
