Resumen de Diseño de Logo
We have a wonderful church family in the middle of a community with many who don't attend church. One of the problems is, they don't know we exist. We want a logo that will convey how welcome they will be & how we can help them to discover how much God loves them & wants to be active in their lives. Most people who come, love our church & are glad they discovered it. We just need to encourage more people to give it a try!

5-5-14. I would like to thank everyone for sharing their creative talents & awesome designs. As we've been reviewing the designs, it has helped us to clarify what we're looking for. One of the problems we struggle with is that we live in a maritime area-on the shores of the Great Lakes. There are lots of Lighthouses. Everything has a lighthouse in it, in fact, that's one of the reasons why the founders of our church included "Lighthouse" in the church name. That's the challenge with the logo. The challenge is to make the logo distinctive & recognizable. If we have "just another lighthouse" it will just end up awash in the endless array of lighthouses already out there. For this reason, if a figure of a lighthouse is used, it may need to be more abstract. That is your challenge as designers. Also, don't feel you need to include various religious symbols-crosses & the like. People will know it's a church, because it's in the name. As we review the designs, it seems we lean more toward contemporary, crisp designs that are distinct, pleasing to the eye & artistic. I want to thank all of you again, for your efforts are helping us to clarify what we are looking for.

- I'm kind of partial to blue & gold for this project, but don't let that limit what you think is best. I would rather NOT have a stodgy, old traditional looking logo. It does NOT necessarily have to have a lighthouse in it.
I like the way Alchemist showed how the design can be used on both dark & light backgrounds. He reminded me how important such a feature is.

- I put a copy of the logo we've been using. It's just one I made with microsoft publisher, but I'm sure you are all much more gifted than me! It would be nice to have something that has some flow & movement to it.

- Traditional lighthouses. There are already too many of those around here.
