We need a logo design for our company, Lashgevity. Our corporate headquarters is based in Houston, TX, with branches in select cities throughout Louisiana. Lashgevity consists of private luxury studios providing exclusive service to those of discriminating tastes in the Texas and Louisiana areas. We specialize in semi-permanent eyelash applications. Our establishment consists of highly educated and licensed beauty professionals that are certified in this specialty and are committed to excellence, distinction, and integrity through continuing education in order to maintain the highest standards and to be superior in the Eyelash Extension industry. CURRENTLY, WE ARE BOOKED FOR EXHIBITS & TRADE SHOWS IN SELECT CITIES FROM NEW ORLEANS TO HOUSTON, AND WILL BE ADVERTISING IN STATEWIDE PUBLICATIONS, MAGAZINES, AND NATIONAL INDUSTRY RELATED WEBSITES STARTING OCTOBER 14, 2010. WE ASPIRE TO EXPAND THROUGHOUT TEXAS AS WELL AS ARKANSAS AND GEORGIA IN THE FUTURE. • We want a logo that will tie into the meaning of the company name. It was derived from the word, longevity, which means, a long duration of individual life; length of life; long continuance: permanence, durability. The design must EITHER consist of a monogram ("L") with lashes coming off of it OR be more like an icon of lashes with the company name running across or below it. Essentially, it must be able to stand alone (without the company name) as the logo for the company for future trade/service mark usage. Because we are in the lash extension industry, the lashes in the design need to be dramatic. Please keep in mind that future projects (i.e. business cards, stationary, etc.) would consist of embossed work, such as the “L” being embossed on the business cards for example. So the logo needs to cater to that accordingly. For an actual example of that, please go to www.willoughbydesign.com, click on Portfolio from the Work tab, select Carson Bank under the Corporate tab, and choose the first image in the bottom left corner to display the business card.

• Although we are open to all types of designs, the vision we had for the design AS A MONOGRAM entails a cursive (or modern) "L" with a few lashes either:
• 1.) sprouting out of the largest loop, or
• 2.) coming off the left side of the upper loop, or
• 3.) coming out of the ending of the letter on the right side.
• However, with the design AS AN ICON, we envision simply a lash line with the lashes either curling upward or downward. Please review the attachment, “Sample 1 (Offbeat Design)” for an example of how the lashes should appear. We also like the lashes of the other attached design, “Sample 2 (Jace Design).”
• It would be nice for the rest of the font (ashgevity or Lashgevity-depending on the finished product) to be modern for a crisp, clean look, but we’re uncertain how to incorporate that with a cursive monogram. So if there is a way to accomplish this with a more modern monogram or if the rest of the font would look better in a cursive style, then we would like to see that as well. Another option we are seriously considering is the monogrammed logo as a centered background/watermark with the company name, Lashgevity, written across in some sort of modern or cursive font OR the monogram with the company name, Lashgevity, written at the bottom of it.
• We would like to see design submissions either in all black (with a white background) or all white (with a black background). Please be aware that we are not limited to these ideas. So feel free to send your ideas.

• The design should not consist of anything having to do with cartoons or caricatures. IT ALSO SHOULD NOT CONSIST OF AN ACTUAL EYE; LASHES ONLY PLEASE.
