Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We need a logo design for a new company based in the UK called 'Version 22'. We develop designer, mid market consumer products for use in the home and office.

The logo should be clean and modern but mustn't age (so please avoid current logo trends that might go out of fashion). A text based logo is preferred but we would consider other ideas.

There is no set colour scheme but perhaps experiment with a dark grey combined with brighter colour(s).

We are not yet decided on whether to have all lower case, upper case or just upper case V so go crazy!

The final design should communicate high quality and good design with a slightly playful edge.

Hello everyone!


There's some great designs coming in already and its great to see such enthusiasm. We thought we'd give a bit of general feedback to help guide everyone with future submissions. Below are a few things we've seen and like and a few things we don't like:

Shadows/ Reflections
We're not a fan of the use of shadows or reflections in logos as we believe this will make the logo age quite quickly and get lost in the crowd. Simplicity is key!

Colour
We've seen some great uses of colour so far and would like to see more of it! Although we mentioned using grey with a colour this was only an idea so feel free to experiment a bit more!

The Use of Numbers as Letters
We have had a few submission with '22' incorporated to form part of 'version'. We are happy to see ideas like this but we are also aware that this can come across very clichéd, so if you choose to do this please make it subtle and/or something very different from the normal crowd!

We'll be back with more updates soon and we're trying to provide feedback to every designer within 12 hours.

Hello everyone


Firstly we'd like to say thank you, we've been overwhelmed by the number of high quality concepts that have come our way so far, and this is only in the first day or so! Please keep them coming.

We have uploaded a logo draft we created ourselves a while back and would like to welcome you to tweak it, change it or completely redesign it and make it your own, whether that means changing fonts, colours, scales or shapes it all down to you guys. 

Please note however that although we'd like to see what you can do with this design we'd still like you to submit your own originally conceived concepts too as this design isn't by any means the one we will use, it is just one of many options - there have already been some pretty strong concepts submitted!

We are currently working hard to get through the backlog of recent submissions in order to give everyone tailored feedback on their designs, we hope to have responded to the current submissions by tomorrow so please bear with us.

We will also be providing feedback on all designs submitted over the weekend, all the way up to the deadline, so even if you submit your first concept over the next few days you'll still get feedback for revisions to your design(s) if needed.

  • The logo must look good in a single plain colour as well as any colour combinations that you may use.

  • The logo needs to be scalable and may be embossed on our products so shouldn't have very high levels of detail (e.g. things like finger prints).

    Over-the-top-fonts and logo clichés should be avoided.
