The cover image has to communicate few key features of the plugin and it should show an example of the galleries the user can create.

The main feature is the completely new and unique grid system.

You are free and encouraged to use new colors and fonts, I like high contrast schemes like dark grey and fluo colors (orange, lime, cyan).
