Do you have a size template for us to work with?

I know the size but do you want us to give it in one piece or multiple if one piece do you have a template for us to use?

Hi -Sorry I don't have a template. I am not a designer I was hoping you guys would know all this. Here is some background and info I found on the web.

All submissions to itunes spotify etc are done through a song aggregator like CD baby or Catapult and it is actually them who specify and check the requirements.

CMYK mode not RGB for photoshop

A Note about Bleed: Bleed is a printing term that refers to printing that goes beyond the edge of the sheet after trimming. The bleed area runs round the edges of the image and gives us a small amount of space to account for design inconsistencies and movement of the paper during printing and trimming of your job. Bleed ensures that no unprinted edges occur in the final trimmed document, failing to provide a sufficient bleed area can result in trimmed inserts showing a thin area of white on the edge. We require a minimum bleed area of 3mm around each edge of your artwork.


2)What are the Cover Art requirements for an Album for itunes?

Since a CD cover design will be done for print, you will want to create your new photoshop document in CMYK mode
CD Specs: 4.75in. x 4.75in. with? 3/4in. bleed. 8bit CMYK

Cover Art Requirements:

Dimensions should be at least 600 x 600 pixels at 72 dpi (1500 x 1500 pixels recommended).

Image must be square (i.e. 600x600 not 672x600)



Cover Art should not be pixelated when viewed at its normal resolution or it will be rejected. Do not convert from a lower resolution file to meet the requirements or it will be rejected by the music stores.

File format must be .jpg (JPEG)

Cover Art CANNOT contain information normally found in the liner notes such as:
-track listing
-biographical information
-contact information
-copyrights
-Website links
-Production notes/credits

Cover Art CANNOT contain any time or date related information (ie: Release Dates, etc)
