This is a Tumblr page I have experimented with. I used two public domain images and liked how the checkerboard concept could be contrasted with the same colors etc but suggesting a sky like theme, perhaps this will generate useful ideas, so far I haven't seen any work that is quite what we need. I posted a few things that might generate some thought, I like the concept of a shield logo, if done right, i favor retro, but its difficult to accomplish i think and still be serious and professional
