we really are invested in this: need a logo design and put our time into researching which platform to go with, to write a good brief, to look at your portfolios and who to contact. we run this contest because we really want this to work out and we are more than happy to pay for a good design (which is also why we have put up a $100 2nd prize). However, this is the first time we have used a platform like this, which is why we kept the default option. We will guarantee payment once there is a bigger pool of promising designs. Also, to reduce your risk, we are really open for concept-like logos and we will provide feedback to let you know if this is strikes a chord with us, so you can know early on how much time it makes sense for you to invest.
