Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We need a new logo for our company, a hotel management company. The story of how we came up with the old one is easily accessible on our website at http://www.beechmonthotels.com/ - just click below the logo in the margin. Our biggest need is a graphic device. (Our existing one was adequate in its day, but is public domain clipart.) Our individual brand logos are roundels rather than square shaped (see accompanying graphics, and these by the way reveal another use for the graphic device), so we might want to consider a roundel for the new logo for the Beechmont parent company as well. We'll consider a new design for the Beechmont graphics (to replace the sideways script) but remember, it's got to look good on the side or the top of a hotel, like the Marriott or Hilton signature (note pdf drawing).

We'd kind of like to stay with the tree (https://www.google.com/search?q=beech+tree&num=40&newwindow=1&client=firefox-a&hs=LsT&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=rhyQU6SzIIb8oASvlYCoAg&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ ) in the new logo, but will consider other devices. Maybe you could come up with a stylized image of that. Our company colors are gold and gray.

The final design should communicate a balance of stability and safety, and adventure. We want something simple for now (just for now) that over time, we can build our entire brand identity around.
