OK - so you are not tracking lap times of the vehicle... you are tracking how long components/parts have been under stress to understand breaking points and eliminate major damage/costs by proactively servicing/replacing parts as they reach the end of their useful cycle?

Exactly. For most parts we know up front how many miles/hours they are allowed to run before the risk of breaking down is too high.
