Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We are a new brand: Mud Merica. A brand that connects the love of mudding and big trucks with the strong roots and love of America. We want to create a logo that we can apply to merchandise, as we tour the country going to different mud events, getting people excited and proud to love the mudding lifestyle. Our slogan is "Boggin in the land of the brave."

I have an idea in mind for a logo, but I need the skills of a designer to take it to the next level. As you will see in the attachment, it doesn't look like a strong tough eagle and the tread doesn't have any outlines or added style to it - which is what I'd like. I'd also love to incorporate the American flag colored within one of the elements somehow.

Idea:
Super Swamper Bogger tire tread (which is a known tire tread pattern to mud boggers, that some even get tattoos and also have wedding bands made to look like: https://www.google.com/search?q=super+swamper+bogger+tread&es_sm=91&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=8I2hU_irBM_nsATi3IHoDg&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ) with wings of an Eagle incorporated in the middle tread.

The Eagle should look proud, strong and tough. The logo should be simple enough that if you put it on as a car decal, it is easily recognizable (think like the brand Browning deer logo, as seen here: http://ninja-gear.com/browningdeerlogovinyldecalsticker.aspx).

The company name is "Mud Merica" and our slogan is "Boggin in the land of the brave". It'd be great to have a version that includes text, but what I really am looking for is the graphic element that can be recognized standalone without the text.
