Resumen de Diseño de Logo

I need a logo for a blog that I am planning to launch in Austin, TX. The immediate use of the logo will be for display on a WordPress banner. However, future uses may include business cards and other marketing materials.

The blog will be entitled "Foodscape Austin" and will deal with local policy and planning decisions affecting urban agriculture and food systems in Austin, TX. It will be part hard news source and part editorial outlet, and will enable local Austinites to receive up-to-date, quality information on local food policy and planning happenings in their community.

The logo should reflect a sense of PLACE (i.e. incorporating the Austin skyline, a city grid, or other stylistic/symbolic indicator of the blog's focus on the City of Austin), and should reflect the themes of both "Food/Agriculture" and "City." The term "foodscape" is a synthesis of "food" and "landscape" and is intended to paint a spatial picture of a community's production, distribution, and consumption of food.

Again, the theme of a landscape may be communicated through a city grid, skyline (Austin's), or other spatial representations of urban life.

The theme of food might be incorporated in various creative ways, including color (i.e. green?); depiction of produce and agricultural products; depictions of gardens/leafy plant life, etc.

The above are simply suggestions to guide the design work, and to give some indication of thoughts and preferences I have so far had. I am certainly open to other creative logo interpretations for "Foodscape Austin."

Again, a sense of place is important for this logo, so the inclusion of a style or of symbols indicative of Austin, TX (in whatever creative way conceivable), will be preferable to place-neutral designs.
