Resumen de Diseño de Logo

I'm looking for a logo for my company. The name of the company is Nova Sapiens Games. I'm a small independent video game developer. The name is a play on Homo Sapiens (the Latin name for humans) and my home province Nova Scotia (Canada). Nova Sapiens translated literally means 'New Wisdom' but I like to think of it as 'New Intelligence'.

I would like a design such that the text and the logo can be separated and the logo is an independently recognizable icon. It's also important for me that the logo (without text) have roughly the same height and width.

I would prefer colours that are part of the Nova Scotian flag, Blue, Yellow, Red, White. Also consider black to be an option, it's not in the flag but it's useful for outlines and borders to make the image more bold. A minor note the blue colour, there are different versions of the flag but I'm partial to versions where the blue is closer to Azure (#007FFF) than the darker hues.

Bonus points if you can incorporate a hexagon or a hexagon field.
Bonus points if a very small icon (e.g. 32x32 pixels) can be created that is clearly recognizable as a smaller version of the logo (without text).
