you attached an image that can't be good in 50 X 50 size.is that ok to more simple icon we'll make & only major features of the animal highlighted in funny way so recognised easily

the 500x500px end is more important to us....if it doesn't work at 50x50 it's not a deal breaker. Please use the whale image as guide to quality and detail that we require.

Thanks for the invitation. Have a question regarding the design. For what audience is this, and how serious do you want it to look? I can see that the whale is cute but not sure if this is the idea you had in mind

thanks for your interest in submitting designs for our project. The audience at this stage is more or less the general public, mainly aiming at younger people (up to the 30-40 year olds) interested in animal conservation, and animal/human interaction.

The example design style is pretty much right on: cute/engaging and iconic....and yes, we would have contracted the whale designer if he was available! ;)
So anything as close to the whale design will have the best chances to be selected. All the requested animals tend to be regarded as quite cute & cheeky, and usually offer some good inspiration in that regard. Let us know if you need some more information regarding any of the animals.
