Resumen de Diseño de Logo

We are a small boutique selling games/toys/puzzles that focuses on eco-responsible products made of natural or recycled materials. Our products are for all ages and focus on classics that last generations (chess, checkers, jacks, blocks, paddle boards, building kits, etc). We try to get people using their heads, having fun and playing together all while enjoying the feel of wood in their hands.

We are rebranding our store.

Our old name and logo (on website) did not give the right impression. Our old name: "Jeux apres-ski" (after-ski games - since we are in a ski town).

Our new name: "Les jeux de chalet" (translation: cottage games). Our website is at lesjeux.ca (translation: thegames)

Our boutique is located in the reception of our cottage resort in the Laurentian mountains where we rent our 9 cottages to vacationers. The boutique is very tied to our cottages, yet our current logo/image puts it very separate. Our cottage resort is here: www.villageswiss.ca We would like the two companies to have a image that pulls them closer. We are open to redesigning the cottage logo (slightly) as well and this could be a follow up project.

We are launching a new website for the store this month.

We would like to see a design that is simplistic, yet incorporates the "cottage" aspect of our games (ie. simple, fun, natural, rustic) and represents the FUN of playing with toys/games. We are open on colours / design and are curious to see what you can come up with!

Challenge: Our customers are about 50/50 French and English and from across the country, yet since we are located in a French speaking area, our nameis only in French. For this reason, there should be at least 1 image in the logo expressing the meaning of "Cottage Games" for our non-french customers.

Objetivo del mercado(s)

Adults (parents/grandparents) across canada purchasing gifts for birthdays, holidays or special occasions. A mix of both French-only speakers and English-only speakers. Yet all Canadians have a strong nostalgic feeling towards the "cottage/chalet/cabin" lifestyle.
