Clearly Christian is a new U.S. Based 501c3 ministry in need of a logo
This is a new ministry being started as an "umbrella" non-profit (please no umbrella logos) :). What that means is that several endeavors of various kind fall under the Clearly Christian leadership and structure. (here's an example of one: FormedYou.com - other projects include missionary projects, a revised Bible translation, Art outreaches, just to name a few) Think of CC like "Nestle". It is both it's own brand and also a parent company for dozens of other brands.
As for the logo, clean, minimalistic and very elegant while still appearing friendly and approachable. We want people to see CC as both something that they can feel confident funding while at the same time being approachable to the average person.
The tag line for the ministry (does not need to be included) is:
Using every avenue to proclaim Christ and Biblical Truth
The verses for the ministry (again, does not need to be included) are: 1st Corinthians 14:8, Colossians 3:17 and Matthew 12:33
We need a graphic element and a text element. The graphic element must be integrated into the logo with the text but recognizable apart from the text element.
Winner will need to supply high res files. This will be used on the web and in oversized convention banners so please keep that in mind when designing the size of the file.
Please be aware that the logo will set the color palette for the website, letterhead, etc so it is very important we get this right. But, we know the DC designers can do it. God bless! :)

First, thank you for the design submissions received so far!
One thing that is very important in this logo is the graphic element. We need to have something distinct, memorable and that is clearly a Christian visual element. :) Pun intended.
Basically, we'd like the logo to be as blatantly Christian as the organization it represents!

First, as always, thx for the designs. Starting to see a few keepers!
Let me amend the brief by saying that although this is a Christian ministry, the design needs to look high end corporate. Not church, not ministry, not low end. Think "high end, engaging, edgy corporate consulting firm" (that's not what we are but it's the best "style" I can offer). God bless! -grant

Starting to see some good designs... pls keep 'em coming.
2 points:
1) Not really into the "CC" thing. It's not memorable and it's not unique.
2) The grpahic has to mean something. A lot of the designs have had incredibly cool graphic elements that have no significance or tie in. We really need the graphic to illustrate the organization.

Ok, have been getting a lot of "show me what logos you like". If I could showcase a perfect logo style for us it would be this:

Clean, clear, memorable. The graphic element clearly relates yet can clearly stand on it's own. The colors and the fonts scream sophistication. Would look stunning on either a polo or website, etc.
That is what we need for Clearly Christian.
