If you know the iconic places and attractions of Melbourne, Australia, then the Australian banana industry needs your help with our event promotion.
We will be choosing up to three designs for use in promotional materials (for example - postcard, sticker, fridge magnet) for our 2015 Australian Banana Industry Congress.
We need designs that combine the best and most recognisable features and attractions of Melbourne with bananas to promote the "bananas come to Melbourne" message.
It is the first time the Australian banana industry will be holding this national Congress in Melbourne. For this project, we particularly want to attract banana growers from tropical north Queensland to come to Melbourne.
What you should know:
- submit your designs separately if you're doing more than one - we will choose up to three
- the Australian Banana Industry Congress coincides with the second State Of Origin rugby league match being held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) so we are looking for one design that focuses on bananas at the MCG for State Of Origin
- we need two other designs that immediately convey the message "bananas in Melbourne"
- we want fun, modern designs that include the banana industry colours of green and yellow (and maroon and blue for the State Of Origin design)
- the designs all need to include the Congress logo and tagline as well as the event location and dates - Crown Promenade, Melbourne, June 17 - 20.

Reason: Hi,
I have extended the deadline. I am looking for a design that an be used for a series of materials such as a postcard and fridge magnet that simply and strongly carries a visual message that the event is in Melbourne.
It would be helpful if those submitting designs had an understanding of Melbourne and some of the city's iconic features such as trams, Australian Rules Football, the Yarra River, coffee culture etc.

Hi,
Thank you for your designs so far.
While the design is for use on a postcard, it does not have to be a formal postcard design - what I really need is an illustration that can be used on a postcard or for other merchandise, such as a fridge magnet.
The successful designs will be -
+ an illustration that includes a banana in a Melbourne setting. Can I suggest the use of the following Melbourne settings - the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) or a Melbourne tram or a Melbourne coffee shop
+ include the Congress logo and event details - June 17 - 20, 2015 Crown Promenade, Melbourne.
What I am looking for is a fun, quirky image of a banana in Melbourne - for eg. a banana-shaped tram or a banana on top of a fram, the MCG filled with bananas or the goal posts at the MCG replaced with bananas or a cool hipster looking banana having a coffee at a cool-looking coffee shop.
I'm looking for up to three designs.
